Members of the armed forces returning home from active duty increasingly find it difficult to acquire employment as they return to civilian life. These brave men and women possess superior skills, are disciplined and trained to succeed in business. As a Nation, we are built upon the spirit of entrepreneurship. It is the duty of every American to assist these brave men and women to achieve the true 'American Dream'... owning their own small business.
The mission of Veterans Small Business
Development Organization (VSBDO) is to assist and enable Veterans who wish to re-enter the work force as self-employed entrepreneurs by providing start-up capital, networking access and self funded training. These
'Vet-repreneurs' then employ themselves! Assisting them to stand, gain and make a living on their own is both our mission and a noble bligation.
These very same Vet-repreneur's may well be the next employers to assist and hire fellow Veterans adding greater strength and spirit to America's small business cornerstone. The net result is decreased unemployment, increased
| tax revenues and an economy fueled by the men and women we, as a nation, trained to "be all they can be." VSBDO, as a private sector non-profit organization, will not compete with existing public or government assistance agencies or programs. The VSBDO will complement their activities and initiatives by making capital available to these Vet-repreneurs to 'jump-start' their enterprises.
